Music, songs and dances in Indian Cinema
Almost all Indian movies have Music, songs and dances or item numbers to it. These musics and songs communicate different meanings and emotions with varied music and different lyrics compositions, and dances are choreographed similarly. Other than entertaining and appealing to the emotion of the audiences they also contribute towards conveying the phases of relationship development. For instance, some songs and musics are played when hero and heroine first see one another and conveying how they feel for one another to the audiences.
Here is a song, titled ek ladki ko dekha (when I saw a girl) taken from Indian Smash Hit- 1942 A Love Story. The song is played when the hero first meets heroine (initiation phase).
